Jataayu's Mobile Enterprise Messaging Server
(jMEMS) provides an out-of-the-box solution to m-Enable employees, giving them
secure, controlled access to the information that matters. Response times on business
issues can improve dramatically with anytime, anywhere access to this information.
jMEMS is a scalable and secure solution packaged in a ready-to-deploy form. It
provides access to the top three information stores in an enterprise - email,
contacts and task lists. jMEMS is the only solution which can take information
availability to the source - the workstation desktop. Jataayu's MEMS/Remote Agent
will allow information to be accessed securely from desktop applications like
Outlook Express and Microsoft Outlook.
jMEMS has a component architecture
which allows it to be deployed in many configurations. jMEMS provides a wireless
interface to MS Exchange based email, contacts and to-do lists. It extends the
wireless reach all the way to the desktop by providing connectors to Outlook Express
and Microsoft Outlook email clients. jMEMS provides a WAP 1.1 compliant presentation
allowing all existing WAP phones to access information. It has integrated WAP
gateway functionality, allowing deployment straight out of the box. Architecture

Comprehensive email
functionality | jMEMS
provides full-featured email functionality for both centralized MS Exchange /
Lotus -based and desktop-based email applications – Inbox, View Mail, Forward,
Reply and Delete operations. New mail can be composed and messages can be pre-created
on the desktop to quickly compose new mail or make a short reply to incoming mail.
Email addresses can be picked up from the Personal Address Book instead of keying
it on the mobile device. Selected documents can be stored in a jMEMS public folder
and used as attachments when composing or replying to email. These documents can
be in any format including Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat or others. |

Identity Server |
jMEMS has an integrated
Identity Server which can be used to obtain the caller identification and provide
quick access to information without keying in the login name and password. Identity
Server works with any RAS supporting CLI and RADIUS authentication. |
| Security |
Security is a very
important consideration in allowing users access to critical information. jMEMS
provides different levels of security. Communication security is ensured by the
use of standard WTLS security between the phone and the enterprise. Trying in
mobile phone numbers to email accounts using Identity Server provides access control.
Further access security is present in the form of optional PIN numbers so that
unauthorized users cannot access information. Users can turn on/off the security
parameters and control the phone-number and email-id association themselves, providing
a very high degree of flexibility. |

Easy installation |
All the components
of jMEMS - WAP Gateway, Microsoft Exchange connector / Lotus connector, jMEMS/
Remote Agent, Jataayu Identity Server, connectors to Outlook and the administration
interface are seamlessly packaged to allow easy installation and deployment in
a very short time. |

administration |
A simple and easy-to-use
web-based interface enables very straightforward administration of the system.
Both system as well as user preferences can be set through the web-based interface. |

Availability | jMEMS
is available on Windows NT 4.0 (SP5) and Windows 2000. It currently works with
Microsoft Exchange 98, Microsoft Outlook 98/2000 and Outlook Express 5. The web
based administration works with Microsoft IIS. Optional WTLS Security is also
available. |
