is the meaning of "JATAAYU"?
Jataayu is the name of a bird in the great
Indian epic Ramayana. It was the first Wireless Messenger to give Rama, the Protagonist
of the epic, the news of his wife Sita's abduction by the evil Ravana.
Jataayu identifies us as the first Indian Organization in the Wireless Internet
Arena.

JATAAYU is a full time member WAP forum.
Which version of WAP
standard does JATAAYU comply to?
All our products are fully compliant
to version 1.1 of the specifications laid down by the WAP forum. Our WAP Gateway
and Clients are now ready with the PUSH support as part of the 1.2 specification
of the WAP standard.
Which are the devices supported by JATAAYU Gateway?
The Jataayu WAP Gateway has been tested with the following devices - Nokia 7110,
Motorola Timeport Series, Motorola Accompli, Ericsson R320S, Ericsson R380S, Siemens
C35i, Alcatel, Sony Z5, Palm 5 and above with Palm OS 3.x and above, and devices
running Pocket PC version of Win CE operating system.
What are the
simulators supported by JATAAYU Gateway?
The Jataayu WAP Gateway has been
tested with the following simulators: -Nokia Toolkit 2.0, UP SDK, WAPMAN, jBrowser
(PC, Palm and Win CE), Microsoft Mobile Explorer.
What are the
gateways supported by JATAAYU WAP Browsers?
jBrowser (Palm OS):
Nokia, Openwave, CMG, Waplite, Jataayu.
jBrowser (Win CE): Nokia, Openwave,
CMG, Waplite, Motorola, Jataayu.
What are the pre-requisites to access
WAP content?
i) A WAP enabled Mobile device - Any mobile phone which comes
with an inbuilt WAP browser or a PDA with WAP browser on it.
ii) While dialing
through a WAP phone, your SIM should be data-enabled, i.e., you should subscribe
for DATA services with your Cellular Service Provider.
iii) Access to
a WAP gateway either through an ISP, a Cellular Service Provider or direct dial-up.
In case you are dialing through an ISP, then you need to have an Internet account
with the same.
How do you configure a WAP phone for WAP access?
The buzzword in today's techno-world. Though the technology is new, because of
their processing power and memory requirements, they have become talk of the town.
The user of WAP device is expected to be acquainted with the graphical interface
available on such devices and thus a text configuration information is enlisted
