Alerts |
One of the salient
features is the voice call alert that intimates a user on incoming voice calls
and provides various options for acting on the alert. While composing messages
the number of characters being typed are displayed and the user is alerted once
it reaches 160 characters. Alerts are also available to intimate the user before
sending multiple messages. |

Book Management |
Phone Books on the
PDA maintains two lists indicated by different icons mainly to distinguish the
PDA's native contact application contents and the one imported from the Mobile
Phone. |

Handling | Messages
will be automatically split once it exceeds 160 characters. Messages are automatically
stored in respective folders based on the status of messages. Received messages
are stored in the inbox whereas the sent and composed messages are stored in the
sent and drafts folders respectively. |

Client gives you the option of setting the validity period for the individual
messages. This increases the flexibility to send the messages and the definition
of the SMSC retries to send the message till the validity period. Reporting in
terms of the delivery status of the messages are also available |
| Configuration | Feature
available to set the SMSC number or update from the mobile phone for easy configuration
of the Express for messaging in different SMSC coverage area. The SMS Express
uses IR (Infra-Red) to communicate with the mobile phones. Both the PDA and the
Mobile Phone need to be IR enabled. |
