Gateway comply to? Jataayu Carrier WAP Gateway is fully compliant to WAP
1.1 version and supports Unconfirmed PUSH as part of WAP 1.2 specification.
Which are the devices supported by JATAAYU Carrier WAP Gateway?
The Jataayu Carrier WAP Gateway has been tested with the following devices:
Nokia 7110, Motorola Timeport Series, Motorola Accompli, Ericsson R320S, Ericsson
R380S, Siemens C35i, Siemens SL45, Alcatel, Sony Z5, Sony J5, Samsung A300, Palm
5 & above with Palm OS 3.x & above, and devices running Pocket PC version
of WinCE operating system. Which are the simulators supported
by JATAAYU Carrier WAP Gateway? The Jataayu Carrier WAP Gateway has been
tested with the following simulators: Nokia Toolkit 2.0, UP SDK 3.1 & above,
Ericsson Simulator, WAPMAN, jBrowser (PC, Palm and WinCE) and Microsoft Mobile
Explorer. How do you configure a WAP phone for WAP access?

WAP Gateway available ? Carrier WAP Server is available on Windows NT/2000,
Linux, Sun Solaris, HP UX, IBM AIX and SCO-UNIXWARE. Does
JATAAYU Carrier WAP Gateway support WML Scripts? Yes, our Carrier WAP
gateway supports WML scripts. Does JATAAYU Carrier WAP Gateway
support WTLS? Yes, our Carrier WAP Gateway supports WTLS. Jataayu products
are integrated with SSL and WTLS libraries from Certicom. For more details on

WAP Gateway support Cookies? If yes, how? Jataayu CWS has incorporated
the cookie support in order to maintain session information and make the transactions
happen faster. As the currently available devices do not have the capability to
handle cookies on their own, the Jataayu WAP gateway has been adapted to handle
them. The CWS currently supports session type cookies only. Does Jataayu
Carrier WAP Gateway support CLI? How is this achieved? Yes, Jataayu CWS
has an inbuilt component that is capable of receiving CLI information and also
forwarding it as an http header to the origin application. This is achieved with
the help of Jataayu's another product - the Identity server, which resides between
the RAS and the RADIUS to capture the CLI and map it with the IP address allotted
by the RADIUS. This information is then shared with the CWS. Does
JATAAYU Carrier WAP Gateway support WAP PUSH? Yes, Jataayu Carrier WAP
Gateway supports Unconfirmed PUSH as part of the WAP 1.2 specification.
Has this PUSH functionality been tested on any device? The PUSH functionality
has been tested on Palm OS and Win CE devices running Jataayu's WAP Browser -
jBrowser. Which are the bearers supported by Jataayu Carrier WAP Gateway?
As it is known that the Wireless Application Protocol is basically independent
of the bearers. Hence, the CWS would work on any available bearer and could also
be adapted to the upcoming bearers. Currently, it supports CSD, SMS and GPRS.
How does the Jataayu Carrier WAP Gateway maintain logs? Jataayu
CWS maintains three log files namely "jataayu.log", "access.cdr" and "error.log".
Jataayu.log is used to see the details of each and every request that is
processed by the gateway. It shows information such as the User Agent, HTTP request
details, the Number of bytes that were sent/received and the Errors occurred during
the transaction. There are three levels of logs that can be recorded, the values
of which have to be entered while configuring the Gateway. These values are:
0 = only critical errors, 4 = critical errors and warnings, and
7 = complete listing of all the activities Error.log is used to record
all the errors that were encountered while using the Gateway. Access.cdr
contains mainly the "Call Data Record' details. What are the
access controls available in CWS? There are two kinds of access control
mechanisms available in CWS. a) User level access - The CWS can
be configured to allow or deny access to a specific set of users. In the WEB Administration
provided by CWS, the IP addresses or the Phone numbers need to be mentioned either
in the "allow user" or "deny user" option. b) Site level access - The
CWS can be configured to allow or deny access to specific sites too. In the WEB
administration provided by CWS, the URL of the sites need to be mentioned either
in "allow site" or "deny site" option. What kind of statistics
are available in CWS? Jataayu CWS offers statistical information, which
would be helpful to users. This informs the user about: -
